Soul Process

An Introduction to Soul Process

There is a larger process unfolding within the human being within the heart the psyche and the deeper layers of awareness. This process is not separate from the larger patterns of the cosmos. It mirrors them expresses them and participates in them here and now in the most literal sense of the word.

This work is not intended for casual consumption self improvement culture or spiritual entertainment. It is not an attempt to commercialize spirituality nor to package awakening into something easy reassuring or consumable. What is named here has been spoken of since time immemorial across cultures traditions and lineages. What is new is not the process itself but the historical moment we are in and the growing need to contextualize this process in contemporary language without reducing its depth power or mystery.

We live in a time where experiences once largely held by shamans mystics contemplatives healers and initiates are increasingly emerging in the lives of everyday people. This is due to many converging factors including expanded psychological and phenomenological inquiry the resurgence and study of psychedelics unprecedented access to information and a growing sensitivity to subtle inner experience. What was once peripheral is now becoming unavoidable.

The task before us is not to trivialize these experiences nor to inflate them but to create a coherent human context for their unfolding. At its core this is a process of self realization and spiritual awakening in a modern sense one that must be grounded integrated and embodied rather than idealized or dissociated.

My aim here is to offer resources that help orient this process in the most accessible way possible while remaining fully honest about its fundamentally mysterious nature. The emergence of deeper consciousness carries real potential not only for personal healing and wholeness but for addressing the ecological political and communal challenges we face. Again and again when these openings are met with care and integration they tend to foster greater compassion coherence and an increasingly relational eco centric way of being.

I approach this work from a psychological phenomenological and integrative standpoint informed by years of study practice and lived experience. The Name Soul Process is coined by my mentor and teacher Tom Yeomans PhD to refer to this unfolding self organizing movement of consciousness…

This page is dedicated to that process.

Soul Process

Something in you is already moving toward wholeness. The Soul Process is the name I give to that movement — the quiet, self-organizing intelligence within the heart, the psyche, and the deeper layers of awareness that is always, gently, drawing you home.

What This Is

This is an invitation into something real. Not a program, not a quick fix, not a packaged version of spirituality — but a genuine, caring accompaniment into the parts of your life that are longing to be met with more honesty, more depth, and more tenderness.

What we're working with here is ancient. People across every culture and tradition have always known that there is a deeper current running through a human life — one that moves toward meaning, toward healing, toward becoming more fully who we actually are. What's new is simply the language we use, and the particular moment in history we find ourselves in.

"Life is a story of disconnection to connection — finding unity within the multiplicity of our inner and outer world."

More and more people are finding that the inner experiences they once thought were strange or rare — moments of awakening, deep longing, spiritual opening, or profound disorientation — are actually part of something much larger. You are not alone in this. And you don't have to navigate it alone.

What We're Here to Do Together

The invitation isn't to make these experiences smaller or easier — it's to give them a home. To create enough ground beneath you that what is asking to unfold actually can, safely, at your own pace, with care and companionship.

At its heart, this is a process of coming into greater wholeness — one that is grounded in the body, honest about what is hard, and open to the mystery of what is possible. It asks something of you. And it offers something real in return.

When these kinds of inner openings are met with care and gentle attention, they tend to grow into something beautiful — greater compassion, deeper connection, and a way of being in the world that feels more spacious, more alive, and more truly yours.
The Role of a Soul Guide

A soul guide doesn't arrive with a map of where you should go. I'm here to walk alongside what is already alive and moving in you — to help you slow down enough to hear it, trust it, and find your own footing within it.

This is its own kind of relationship — different from therapy, though it may touch similar ground. Different from coaching, though it may support your goals. What I offer is presence at the intersection of the psychological and the spiritual: a space to bring the longing, the wound that has quietly become a doorway, the dream you can't shake, the part of you that knows something your mind hasn't caught up to yet.

How the Process Tends to Unfold

This isn't a linear path — and that's okay. Think of what follows less as a checklist and more as a gentle map of the territory. You may move through these in order, or circle back, or find yourself in several at once. All of it belongs.

  • I
    Awakening to Longing
Something stirs. A quiet sense that there is more — that the life you've been living isn't quite the full story yet. That longing isn't something to fix. It's an invitation. It's where we begin.
  • II
    Descent & Encounter
We move gently beneath the surface — meeting the parts of you that have been carrying weight for a long time, the places that hurt, and the soul-level knowing that has been quietly waiting beneath them.
  • III
    Integration & Embodiment
What we discover together needs to be lived, not just understood. Slowly, the insights move into the body, into relationships, into daily life — becoming not a concept, but a felt, grounded way of being.
  • IV
    Gift & Contribution
As we come into greater wholeness, something naturally wants to move outward — toward the people we love, the communities we belong to, and the larger life we are each here, in our own particular way, to serve.
This work is for those who feel a genuine pull toward something deeper — and who are ready to follow that pull with honesty, patience, and care. If that's you, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

This work has been shaped by years of study, practice, and lived experience — and by the teachers who have helped give language to what I was already sensing. I'm particularly grateful to the work of Bill Plotkin and Tom Yeomans, whose writing and teaching continue to inform how I hold this process.
